I am a stay-at-home mom with Asperger Syndrome, which is a form of high-functioning autism. I have a two-year daughter and a baby boy who was born in August. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently live in Berkeley, California. Since I was not diagnosed until I was 26, one of my main missions in life is to educate others about Asperger Syndrome and what life is like as an aspie, both publicly and privately.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Comments on my journal are open to all, but are screened to prevent trolls and spamming. I do require that anonymous commenters identify themselves by first name and that they make a note of how they know me, if applicable (ie: Joshua, A friend of Joe from the Berkeley Ward). Unsigned comments will be considered trolling and will be deleted immediately. I understand that this is a web-based journal and people will be reading this, some of whom I may not know, but I have a right to know who is commenting on my entries. If you disagree with this policy then I respectfully request that you go elsewhere. I refuse to be bullied on my own journal and I refuse to cower in a corner because of a few people who are not comfortable disagreeing with me openly.
Many entries are friends only. If you want to friend me you are welcome to, but I generally only friend people back who I know IRL. If I have friended you with only an online relationship, consider yourself one of the privileged few.
